Tender chicken thighs simmered in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce for an easy one-pan dinner.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (about 1.5 pounds)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and 165°F internally.
- Remove chicken and set aside on a plate.
- Sauté garlic in the skillet for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and ginger.
- Simmer sauce for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken and coat thoroughly with sauce.
- Cook for 1 minute to heat through.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
Add red pepper flakes for heat.
Serve over rice or quinoa to absorb the sauce.
Add a splash of water if the refrigerated sauce becomes too thick.
